The Mitten State Flea Market Extravaganza Weekend!

For those of you new to "junking" here's a quick tip, go to flea markets! We recently dropped by 2 local FM's in the thumb of Michigan and walked out with a cache of goodies. There were quite a few stands selling your everyday junk (which Amy and I concluded was leftover coupon cutter surplus) but there were still plenty of stands with unique "found" items for us to dig through.

Check out the finds below!

Lots of vintage doll clothes stashed in a case with 4 dolls for $5! Included 1 original Barbie skirt from 1959.

A picture of the Barbie case and one of the dolls (a "pepper" doll by the ideal doll corp from 1964).

Another Barbie case Amy picked up that had a hidden stash of 4 necklaces (3 were nothing special, but one was 12k Gold Fill).

I picked up a pair of antique 12k golf fill glasses with case for $3.

I was tempted to pick up a an antique German book from the 1700's for $35 but the condition of it turned me off to it. There were a few other finds here and there that we didn't mention but we ended up spending under $20 for at least $100 in goodies.

So yes, flea markets, great place to get vintage and antique finds for cheap. If you're not sure if you have any in your area you can do a quick google search or check out craigslist. They are usually pretty easy to find.
